This June 28thSan Juan joins the world celebration of International LGBTIQ+ Pride Daycommemorating the fight for the rights and the visibility of the LGBTIQ+ community. In this context of recognition and vindication, the Gender Directorate, dependent on the Ministry of Family and Human Developmentannounces the realization of the expected Pride Festival.
The artistic event will take place at the Amadeo Conte Grand Cultural Centerstarting at 5 p.m. and extending until 10 p.m.. It will have a varied program of shows organized by the Directorate’s diversity team, which will include shows, parades, presentations of drag queens, community dancers and singers LGBTIQ+offering a space for celebration and free expression for all those present.
The entry will be free for the public, who will be able to enjoy cultural activities and artistic that highlight diversity and promote inclusion in all areas of society.
In addition to the shows, the Pride Festival will feature a entrepreneurs fair, where representatives of all gender and diversity areas of the province’s municipalities will exhibit and offer their products. An operation will also be carried out by the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Provincial Program in Response to HIV, Hepatitis and STIs, providing information and Health services integral to the attendees.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Family and Human Development, with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, as well as the active participation of the Municipal Gender and Diversity Areas of the province and various local LGBTIQ+ organizations and groups. Among the collaborators are Kiki.SJ, Cultura Drag, KENDALL, CIELO, LUCHI FUEGO, REIVEN, Leo Cortez, Shadows Opposition, Luchy Arustizia, Grupo de Danza Espartanos, Bix Boss, Provincial Council of Diversity San Juan and Mesa de la Diversidad .
