Congress advances Andesco in Cartagena with the participation of several Colombian businessmen and politicians, including the former minister Mauricio Cardenaswho spoke on Caracol Radio about the current economic situation of the country.
The former minister said that although the country has some problems, It cannot be said that it is going through a bad economic situation.because since past governments progress was being made on different fronts, which today are generating results.
He pointed out that it is a wrong idea of the Petro government to say that everything must be reformed, because Colombia already has it: good geographical position, food, clean energy, oil, free trade agreements and everything that countries may need.
“We have all the attributes and we are not taking advantage of them,” he said.
“The time has come to unite as a country”
The former minister assured that we are trapped in a narrative that makes everyone argue, as a consequence of the uncertainty and pessimism about what may happen to the country’s governance.
He said that we are also starting from a wrong idea in thinking that everything will be fixed starting in 2026, which is why he considers that it is time to activate the union of the country “to counteract that pessimistic idea of showing that there is more country than government”.
