The alleged perpetrators of a qualified robbery at a YPF loading dock in Challacó are delayed

A series of raids carried out in the early hours of Wednesday morning by police personnel resulted in the arrest of the two main suspects in a robbery to the YPF loading base in the Neuquén town of Challacó, as well as the kidnapping of elements of interest to the case.

The robbery took place on June 8, when unknown individuals broke into the YPF Cargador Challacó Base. They took a Toyota Hilux truck, where they loaded various toolsincluding a compressor, an electric oven, a microwave and an electric water dispenser.

That same day, investigators conducted patrols around the area. This allowed locate the truck and recover all of the stolen items. However, the investigations continued and the evidence collected by personnel from the Criminalistics Department, served to identify the two alleged perpetrators. Three of the judicial proceedings took place in the city of Cutral Co and the remaining one in Plaza Huincul.

Finally, the intervening Prosecutor’s Office requested the judicial measures that in the early hours of Wednesday morning were executed by personnel from the Property Crimes and Special Laws Department, with the collaboration of personnel from the Cutral Co. Internal Security Directorate. As a result of the raids, the delay of the two main suspects was achievedaged 31 and 47, the hijacking of a VW Gol vehicle and clothing allegedly used in the robbery.
