Upon learning of the final autopsy report on Ariel Goyeneche, a young man who died on public roads in Paraná in the framework of a police operation, the Ministry of Security and Justice reported the availability of the officers who intervened in the case. This measure “is adopted within the framework of an administrative summary prepared by Internal Affairs of the Entre Ríos Police to evaluate the actions of the officials and facilitate the actions of Justice, taking into account what was ruled in the autopsy,” they indicated.

The head of Security and Justice, Néstor Roncaglia, highlighted “the importance of the actions of Justice and celebrates the fact that an action protocol has been developed in cases of mental health crisis on public roads, which, before this event, did not existed.”

“We always maintained that in this delicate case a transparent, impartial and rigorous investigation should be carried out, which we understand is being carried out by the intervening prosecutor and in which the police officers were always within their rights, now, made available, in the context of the conclusion of the autopsy of the deceased person,” the official stressed.

The official insisted that in Entre Ríos “there was no protocol for action in cases of mental health and problematic consumption,” after which he highlighted that this government “gave space for discussion with different organizations to consolidate a protocol that allows training, training, and intervene efficiently.”
