The launch of the Festivities took place this Wednesday in Bogotá.

“’El Origen’ is the official brand of the event, which aims to revive key moments in the construction of the cultural and community identity of the city, paying tribute to our roots”said the district Mayor’s Office in a statement.

This festival will have an extensive program ranging from nautical sports, musical shows and a gastronomic fair.

The mayor of Santa Marta was present at the launch, Carlos Pinedo Cuello, the singer-songwriter Carlos Vives; the Secretary of District Culture, Darío José Linero Mejía; the National Captain of the Sea 2023, Daniela Restrepo Henao, and the Ambassador of the Sea Festival, Ana Sofía Urbina.
