The mayor of the city of Santa Fe thanked Senator Garibaldi for his commitment and support with both cities in the department. “We are all working together to pay off a historic debt,” Poletti said.
“In Santa Fe we have already defined what the entrance to the city will be like and now with this study we will define what it will be like in Santa Tomé to be able to project the bridge as soon as the results are in,” he added.
Great adherence to the agreement
In addition to the members of the collaboration agreement, the senator for the San Cristóbal department and president of the Chamber, Felipe Michlig, signed as adherents; the senator for the San Justo department, Rodrigo Borla; the deputies José Corral, Pablo Farías, Mariano Cupertino, Ximena García, Dionisio Scarpin, Juan José Piedrabuena and Fabián Palo Oliver; the former mayors of Santa Fe and Santo Tomé, Emilio Jatón, Daniela Cuesta and Mario Barletta; the president of the Santa Fe council, Adriana “Chuchi” Molina and city councilors; the president of the council of Santo Tomé, Mity Reutemann and city councilors; the mayor of Sauce Viejo, Mario Papaleo, the president of the Sauce Viejo council, Gustavo López Torres, and the city councilors.
About the new bridge
The new bridge that the government of the province of Santa Fe plans to build It will be parallel to the Carretero bridge and will be located about two meters away. It will have two lanes, a central flowerbed with a pedestrian crossing and a cycle path. It will measure 1,400 meters long, will have pillars every 31 meters and on them will be placed beams and a road structure with railings and lighting.
The completion time for this work is approximately 30 months and, following the results of the studies that will be carried out through the agreement signed today, it is expected that the tenders will be made at the end of 2024.
There are three stages to carry it out, one is the work of the bridge itself and the other two are the entrances to the cities. The studies for the entrance to Santa Fe have already been carried out, but those for Santo Tomé remain, which will be carried out following the signing of the agreement signed today.
