Sadness is what is felt in the Ibagué soccer community, after the death of the renowned leader and coach, affectionately known as ‘Professor Alex’ Alexander Agudelo.
Agudelo was the founder and president of Club Estudiantes, an institution that not only trained young footballers, but also became a pillar within the local League. In addition, He played a key role in the presidency of the Community Action Board of the Ciudadela Simón Bolívar neighborhood, where he lived.
Unofficial versions indicate that Professor Agudelo had been admitted to a care center for several days, apparently due to respiratory complications. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, she did not recover.
His departure leaves a void in the communityespecially among the young people whom he guided and trained both in the Student Club and in the Pimiento FC academy.
