In an intense effort articulated between provincial organizations and national forces, between Tuesday and Wednesday around 200 vehicles that had been stranded in said section were rescued, as a result of the inclement weather that is hitting the entire region.
A total of 40 members of the Chubut Police, National Gendarmerie and the Provincial Road Safety Agency were dedicated to the device that allowed the lives of hundreds of residents affected by the low temperatures to be protected. Likewise, in coordination with the different municipalities, officials from different areas of the provincial Executive are working on the ground to provide immediate responses and solutions in the towns and routes most compromised by the storm.

ATTENDANCE
The Secretary of Citizen Liaison, Laura Mirantes, explained that, “under the Governor’s guidelines, the climate contingency activities on Route 3, which connects Trelew with Comodoro, were coordinated, managing to articulate the joint tasks with the national forces, including the National Gendarmerie and the Argentine Army, and authorities of the Ministry of Security and Justice, the Chubut Police, the APSV, Civil Protection, as well as Provincial and National Roads.
The official referred to the “work carried out to provide safe accompaniment in caravans, protecting the most precious asset that is life,” and indicated that, for this, “the preventive channel is established in the cuts while work is being done in the area and allow safe traffic.
Mirantes clarified that the most complex area “is visualized on Pampa Salamanca and Cañadón Ferrays”, and specified that the Ministry of Human Development “is addressing the deployment of inputs for the focal points, which are 5, and reinforcing the tasks with the Municipalities of each affected locality.

INTERVENTION
Meanwhile, the Undersecretary of Civil Protection, Eduardo Pérez, pointed out that there are 40 people who are working on that section of the route, dependent on different provincial and national organizations, as well as machinery belonging to both said organization and to Roads and the Army.
Regarding the operation carried out this Tuesday, the official stated that “we started at 3:30 p.m., we cut the routes when the Highway Department gave us notice of a strong wind storm and we managed to rescue over 200 vehicles, including cars and trucks.”
