The Portuguese producer, composer and singer-songwriter, multi-creative and member of the Latin Recording Academy Latin Grammys, Eddie, presented this Thursday his most recent single ‘El Otro Lado de Mí’, along with the ‘video clip’ filmed in Córdoba capital, which forms part of the new EP ‘Luz’, and will also be part of the album ‘Todo a Su Tiempo’, to be released at the end of the year.
According to promoter Be Released, over the years, Eddie has been known for incorporating a wide variety of sounds and influences into his music, and this time, with his latest single, “he explores a fascinating mix of genres and musical and cultural influences, thus paying a vibrant tribute to the beautiful region of Andalusia, incorporating sound elements from its rich musical and aesthetic heritage within an urban-pop-ballad context.”
In this regard, they point out that “the artist’s artistic and personal connection with Spain, and especially with this region, add a layer of depth and authenticity to his new music”, to which they add that “the way in which Eddie managed to weave all these elements together in this production is a beautiful way to celebrate culture, art and the artist’s own life experiences, while offering something new and fresh to the musical landscape.”
It should be noted that he has been nominated in the ‘Best Newcomer’-‘Best Newcomer’ category for the ‘World Entertainment Awards’ in Hollywood, while in the month of February the artist won in the ‘Best Original Song’ category at the ‘ International Music Video Awards’ with their previous single.
With visibility in the Portuguese music scene and in other Portuguese-speaking countries, the producer/musician has a regular presence on television and radio programs. During the last 20 years he has presented several solo works and others in which he has had the special participation of renowned musicians on the international scene such as Philip Hamilton (a New York singer who has collaborated with the Pat Metheny Group, Gilberto Gil and Mike Stern) ; Javier Colina (jazz and flamenco musician), and Jorge Pardo (known for the albums released for Milestone Records in the 90s, also being a musician for the famous flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucía and the Jazz legend Chick Corea).
