The popular queen of Carnival 2024 Hania Orozco González will arrive in Ibagué with the joy of the Fiesta.
The Barranquilla Carnival continues to tour the most important festivals and festivals in Colombia, this weekend from July 28 to 1, five folkloric delegations will be in the center of the country in Ibagué, Neiva and municipalities of Tolima in the traditional celebration of San Juan and Saint Peter.
The route begins at the Colombian Folklore Festival in Ibagué, which celebrates 50 years. For this mission, the Barranquilla Carnival organization has appointed the Popular Queen 2024, Hania Orozco González, who will present a performance at the National and International Folklore Meeting and will preside over its main parade aboard a float with the Kamonet dance group, attending the invitation of the Secretary of Culture of the musical capital of Colombia.
In this Festival there will also be the Luis Soto Durán Artistic Corporation that will represent Barranquilla and the Atlántico in the 34th version of the Festival of Festivals that brings together the greatest exponents of Colombian folklore.
For their part, the Marimondas of Barrio Abajo are taking their time in the bamboo city of America, they will be at the 2024 National Bambuco Festival and Reign in Neiva.
The route continues with the Cumbiamba La Currambera that will be at the XXII National Folk Dance Festival ‘Ernesto Vera’ in the municipality of Coyaima-Tolima where they will present Cumbia, Tambora and Bullerengue, dances representative of the Barranquilla Carnival.
In the traditional San Pedro del Espinal Tolima National Festival, which reaches its 143rd anniversary, the Barranquilla Cultural Corporation will be present with the repertoires ‘Afrocarnaval’ and ‘A Ritmo de Carnaval’, both with the most important dance and musical expressions of the Barranquilla Carnival. In this delegation will be the Mónica Lindo dance company and the Los Chamanes musical group, who will represent Barranquilla and the department of Atlántico in such an important cultural event.
