During today’s session, The Ideas Foundation, known for its work in the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities, carried out a campaign to collect non-perishable food that seeks to benefit the school cafeteria of school No. 302 “United States of Brazil” in Guerrero..
Marcela Herrera, advisor to the Ideas Foundation, He explained that this event focused on gathering essential foods such as noodles, rice, sugar, grass, milk, tea, oil and salt, among others.to respond to the most urgent needs of both the school cafeteria and the families that are part of the institution.
The Ideas Foundation, with more than 30 years of experience, is dedicated to promoting inclusion and improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities through educational and employment programs. Among its featured activities are art, garden, craft and baking workshops, where participants not only acquire practical skills, but also generate income for their own educational projects.
For those who were unable to contribute today, donations can be delivered to any of the Foundation’s two offices, located at José de la Iglesia 1282 and Hipólito Yrigoyen 1540, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Herrera stressed that “we found many families in a situation of total vulnerability, that is why we decided to do this, but we always try to do it. We ourselves do our best to gather what each one needs and help in whatever way we can.”
Finally, Apart from food, the Guerrero School also needs cleaning supplies., so any type of collaboration will be welcome. The campaign represents a joint effort by the community to support those who need it most and strengthen ties of solidarity in difficult times.
