This Thursday morning, traffic was enabled for all types of vehicles on National Route No. 3 in the Trelew – Comodoro Rivadavia section and around 1:50 p.m. a road accident was recorded in the Uzcudun area, near the intersection with the route that leads to Camarones. The accident between 2 trucks caused a chain collision, affecting at least 8 vehicles, both general cargo and fuel trucks.
The situation forced traffic to be halted again at km 1,630, the Undersecretary of Citizen Protection confirmed.
Emergency services were dispatched to the site to assist the injured workers and then to work on clearing the road.
After the corresponding works, around 6:30 p.m., National Highways reported that the road had been cleared, thus traffic was restored normally.
In this sense, the need to take extreme precautionary measures at km 1,630 was recalled, since the damaged vehicles remain in the shoulder area.
