The cold arrived in Corrientes last week, causing a significant drop in temperature, but as the days go by, polar air will arrive, bringing even lower minimum temperatures reaching 2ºC on Sunday.
The thermal drop could cause agrometeorological frosts starting on Saturday.
An air mass from the south will enter the province of Corrientes, further increasing the cold. Yesterday, the cold was felt, during the early morning the minimum temperature reached 8.9 °C and the maximum temperature recorded in the afternoon reached 20ºC. But for the weekend these temperatures are expected to be even lower.
In an agrometeorological report from the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (Inta) they detailed that: “The irruption of polar air accompanied by winds from the southern sector is expected starting on Friday. Weak to moderate frosts in much of the territory. Agrometeorological frosts (between 3 and 0°C) in the north.”
The doctor in Natural Resources, agricultural engineer and meteorological observer, Carolina Fernández López, had previously pointed out to El Litoral that: “Just as the heat wave is 3 days in a row, the cold wave has that same condition. “Temperatures vary depending on the area.”
On Friday, temperatures will range from 11ºC to 19ºC, with no precipitation and gusts of wind from 42 to 50 kilometres per hour. On Saturday, temperatures will decrease and minimum temperatures will reach 7ºC and maximum temperatures 13ºC. With partly cloudy skies and winds from the south.
Temperatures will decrease and on Sunday it is expected that the minimum temperatures will reach 2ºC and the maximum temperatures will reach 15ºC, with clear skies and winds from the east. For Monday the temperatures will go from 4ºC to 19ºC and these values will continue during the following days.
