With the presence of the Minister of Defense, Iván Velásquez Gomez; the director of the National Police, General William Salamanca; the governor of Atlántico, Eduardo Verano, and the high commands of the departmental Police, the first phase of the new Police Command in the municipality of Sabanalarga was launched this Thursday.
With this new operations center, which had an investment of $25.717 million, the operational and reaction capabilities of the public force in the face of criminal acts in the department are strengthened.

“From this large complex, the Atlantic Police will deploy all its operational capabilities to guarantee security and coexistence in the 18 municipalities of the department that are not part of the metropolitan area,” said Governor Verano during the inaugural event.
For his part, the Minister of Defense, Iván Velásquez, highlighted the importance of this new Command for strengthening citizen security.

“The opening of these facilities marks the beginning of a new era of safety and community collaboration. This headquarters, which has pleasant spaces, generates that confidence in the citizen who comes to request the services of the Police,” he assured.
