With great participation, Zonal 6 of men’s soccer and mixed soccer was played

Under the technical and logistical coordination of the Sports Secretariat of the Provincial Government, the Zonal 6 phase of under-14, under-16 soccer and mixed 7-a-side soccer, corresponding to the “Corrientes Games 2024” was played this Thursday at the UNNE grounds.

The event began early in the morning, with the participation of some 350 young people from the towns that make up Zone 6 of the Games, with representatives from: Capital, Derqui, Itatí, El Sombrero, Ramada Paso, Paso de la Patria, San Cosme, San Luis del Palmar and Santa Ana.

In this framework, the institutional visit of the Secretary of Sports of the Province, Jorge Terrile, in the company of the Minister of Social Development, Adán Gaya, stood out.

After touring the different playing fields where the sporting events were held, an institutional photo was taken with all the delegations present.

The day ended with the following teams qualifying for the provincial stage of the competition: U14 men’s football: Capital; U16 men’s football: San Luis del Palmar and mixed 7-a-side football: Capital.

It should be noted that the qualified teams will represent Zone 6 of the “Correntinos Games 2024” in the Provincial stages that will be played in mid-August.

In this way, the Sports Secretariat continues to develop the different zones throughout the province, with the Province of Corrientes divided into 6 geographic zones for these games.

“More than ever, we ratify the holding of the Corrientes Games, because sports, for the administration of Governor Gustavo Valdés, are state policy,” said the Secretary of Sports, Jorge Terrile, from the UNNE campus.
