This Friday there will be a new vaccination day in Manizales

The Secretariat of Public Health of Manizales and the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI), in accordance with the powers established in the “Guidelines for the Management and Administration of the Expanded Immunization Program 2024” and within the framework of the municipal action plan of the PAI , will hold the fourth Municipal Vaccination Day this Friday, June 28.

The motto proposed for the current validity by the MSPS is applied: “The day to catch up has arrived”, “continuing the recovery of pandemic coverage”, the municipal vaccination day with emphasis on application is scheduled for June 28 of biologicals in children under 6 years of age, application of HPV and Covid-19, among others.

Vaccines will be available for the following target population:

  • Children under 6 years old: Polio, Pentavalent, Rotavirus, Chickenpox, Hepatitis A, Pneumococcus, Triple Viral, Yellow Fever, Influenza, DPT: According to the schedule for each age.
  • Children aged 3, 4 and 5 years: update of the scheme with reinforcement of Triple Viral.
  • Boys from 9 years old and girls from 9 to 17 years old: 1 dose of Human Papillomavirus (HPV).
  • Pregnant women: vaccination with tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (TdaP), and influenza.
  • Women of childbearing age from 10 to 49 years (MEF): Tetanus (Td).
  • Susceptible population from 1 to 59 years: yellow fever.
  • Children born from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2019: additional dose of Measles-Rubella (MR).
  • From 6 months of age to start the regimen with COVID19, complete the regimen or administer an additional dose, depending on availability of the biological.
  • Population prioritized for vaccination with HB.
  • Influenza: Child population from 6 to 23 months of age, pregnant women from the 14th week of gestation, population over 60 years of age, population from 2 to 59 years of age with a risk diagnosis.
