Two iconic restaurants in the Colombian city of Pereira use Bose Professional DesignMax speaker technology, installed by MovilPlay, to offer a differential environment to their visitors.
The city of Pereira, located in the ‘coffee axis’ area of Colombia, offers its visitors a varied gastronomic offer, with first-class restaurants that offer a unique culinary experience in this tourist and commercial environment.
This constant competition is reflected in everything, from the quality of the dishes to the interior design, the musical diversity and the clarity of the sound.
The well-known restaurants Zelva Rooftop and Brazilian Rodizio of this city, with different gastronomic concepts, have agreed to differentiate themselves with the use of technology Bose Professional to install a distributed audio systemmade up of the local specialist MovilPlay.
In a space of 1,200 m2 Distributed over two floors and a terrace, O’Brasileiro Rodizio wanted an audio system that would play a crucial role in the customer experience, with coverage in all areas, capable of playing background music and providing sound for the musicians performing. daily on his stage.
The MovilPlay team faced an acoustic challenge, as two areas of the restaurant are made up of huge windows, supported by a steel structure that allows natural light to pass through, but also generates a reverberation effect produced by the reflection of sound.
MovilPlay, used the Modeler software from Bose Professional, a 3D modeling program for the acoustic design and analysisto analyze architectural plans and building material specifications, determining optimal speaker placement and height to achieve desired coverage and performance.
Despite the size of the venue, only ten speakers were needed DesignMax DM5SE to achieve a system of ambient audio cash. Four distributed on the first level, four on the second and two more on the outside terrace.
These speakers guarantee optimal coverage and performance, with intense bass and clear, intelligible treble. The design and mounting options of the DesignMax made it easy to install on steel columns and beams, and its protection grade IP55 ensures its resistance to extreme weather conditions.
On the second level of the restaurant, highly requested for private events, a pair of subwoofers were added DesignMax DM10S Sub to create a more energetic environment and solid bass performance.
For the performance of the musicians, a S1 Pro portable system, which serves as sound reinforcement and monitor for the artists, and a ToneMatch T8S mixer to connect instruments, microphones and even a tablet to play audio streams.
The system is managed through a pair of zone controllers ControlCenter CC-2with which the restaurant manager modulates the volume and chooses the audio source.
Likewise, MovilPlay has also used the Modeler software in the Zelva Rooftop restaurant to define the most suitable type of speakers, in collaboration with Bose Professional and Automaticyour distributor in Colombia.
The system is based on the DesignMax speakers from this audio manufacturer, which is divided into three zones in which the same music is heard, but at a different volume in each of them.
On the outdoor terrace, where sound coverage and volume had to be kept to a minimum, thirteen DesignMax DM5SE speakers were installed facing inwards, suspended from custom-made poles to adjust the correct angle.
Five DesignMax DM5SE speakers and three DesignMax DM10S Sub subwoofers are located in the bar area and interior tables, suspended at a height of three meters. In the private room, with capacity for fifteen people, there are two DesignMax DM5SE speakers and a DesignMax DM10S subwoofer.
MovilPlay has also installed a DJ area with two portable systems L1 Pro 16 and a T8S ToneMatch mixermanaged with ControlCenter CC-3D.
