8 medals for San José Obrero Swimming in the Alevín Regional

He San José Obrero Swimming Sports Club traveled to Valladolid with 8 swimmerss, to participate in the Regional Swimming Championship in the Alevín category. The team’s performance in the competition was remarkable, achieving a total of 8 medals: 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze. Jaime Carro Martín stood out (2 golds in 100 Freestyle and 200 Backstroke, and 2 silvers in 200 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke), Alba Muriel Barroso (gold in 50 Butterfly) and Candelas Prieto García (silver in 100 Freestyle and 2 bronzes in 100 Butterfly and 800 Freestyle).

The other members were Yuzhe Zhu (2 fourth places, in 200 and 50 freestyle), Iker Alonso Cid, Irene B. Nieto Palacios, Paula Enríquez Prieto and Raquel López García. The club wanted to highlight the fight and dedication put in by its swimmers in the competition, which resulted in significant improvements in their times. They also wanted to remember the fifth place in the mixed 4×100 medley relay, and the two sixth places in the women’s 4×100 freestyle and 4×100 medley relays, out of a total of 12 teams. At the end of the competition, the team regained its strength as it deserved.
