The Ministry of Culture, under the slogan Summer Mode, reported on the plan of summer offers for the months of July and August, in the 168 Cuban municipalities.
According to Granma newspaper, despite the difficult economic situation, this program is expected to reach the most remote villages on the island.
The start of the summer days is set for this Saturday, June 29, with presentations of casino wheels and dancers of the genre in the main squares and parks of each place.
The planning for the summer stage includes more than 125 thousand activities of all artistic manifestations in squares, theaters and streets, among which there are more than 80 events convened at the institutional, municipal, provincial and national levels, aimed at rural communities, vulnerable or mountainous, to satisfy emotional needs through art.
Among the tours planned for the country are more from the National Circus of Cuba, the La Colmenita Children’s Company, Cándido Fabré, Haila María Mompié, Arnaldo and his Talisman, Will Campa and Alexander Abreu.
Theatrical presentations, exhibitions, fairs, contests and workshops are also included in the summer proposals, and in most cases they will be free of charge.
The Culture sector in Holguín will make 13 cinemas, two video rooms, five video libraries and nine video clubs available to the public; For their part, 14 public libraries and 15 library houses will be open, of which 14 in the Turquino Plan and one in the Popular Council of San Andrés, of the main municipality.
There will also be 29 cultural centers, 25 museums, the Provincial Center for Plastic Arts and 11 municipal galleries, the “Eddy Suñol” Cultural Theater Complex and three theaters, 21 bookstores, 12 ARTEX cultural centers and EGREM, among other spaces.

Several cultural events coincide with the summer calendar, including the electronic music event “Aquafest” (July 5-8), sponsored by the Provincial Company of Music and Entertainment; the Electronic Music Festival “Stereo G”, by the Hermanos Saíz Association, in Playa Caletones (August 1-5) and the Gibara International Film Festival (August 6-10).
