In this way, Neiva, Huila, sees Colombians arrive to celebrate during the Fiestas de San Juan and San Pedro. For this 2024 the Festivities of San Juan and San Pedro take place between June 14 and July 1. In addition, its 63rd version is held. These festivals began years ago for religious reasons and related to the Spanish conquest. By then a tribute to Saint John the Baptist was being held. Today, the celebration is for Saint John and Saint Peter. In this way, the Bambuco Festival was born in San Juan and San Pedro in Huila.

The interest generated by this festival means that Huila takes advantage of it to show its cultural and folkloric potential.
