An important project aimed at building more than 200 eco-efficient stoves with which the same number of families in the center of Huila will be able to make the environmental impact of their activities less harmful is planned to be carried out by the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Alto Magdalena CAM.
According to the plan, the project will benefit families located in environmentally vulnerable areas of the municipalities of El Agrado, Altamira, Tarqui, El Pital and Garzón.
For now, the service of identification and characterization of potential beneficiaries is being contracted, but the project is expected to be executed before the end of the year.
Eco-efficient stoves are structures that allow for considerable savings in firewood consumption when cooking food in rural areas, thereby reducing the environmental impact of extracting firewood as a fuel material.
