Private security fronts ordered to be reversed in Sincelejo

Following the controversy over the creation of a private security group made up of more than one hundred motorized and armed men in Sincelejo, Sucre, It was ordered that the measure is suspended.

The initiative, which had been proposed by the mayor of Sincelejo, Yahir Acuña, was intended to form private security fronts to support public forces in public works and city parks.

The Superintendency of Surveillance and Private Security ordered the suspension of patrols by the private security group that had been operating in the city of Sincelejo and that traveled armed.

Mayor Acuña has supported the measure and said that it has all the legal guarantees, while citizens have opinions for and against the implementation of this measure in the capital of the department of Sucre.
