Successful days in Bonda and Minca.

In June, the Santa Marta District Mayor’s Office, through the Undersecretary of Rural Development, celebrated Farmers’ Day in different locations in the district’s rural area. Among the notable sites are the San Isidro moor, the central park of the Bonda district and the El Campano village, in the Minca district. The celebrations took place on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, respectively.

The events were supported by various departments of the Santa Marta District Mayor’s Office. The institutional offer included the participation of the Social Promotion Secretariat, Dadsa and the Government Secretariat, through the Animal Welfare Center, which provided care for pets. The District Planning Secretariat carried out door-to-door Sisbenization events, such as in the La Tagua area, in the Minca district. In addition, the companies Atesa and ProSanta MartaVital collaborated with the donation of paint to community leaders to paint the church in the El Campano area.

Giovanny Ríos, president of the Community Action Board of the village of El Campano, said: “Thank you, Dr. Carlos Pinedo, our mayor, for having brought all these institutional offerings to the rural area that is being developed here in El Campano. We are very happy that you have brought us all these activities.”

The event in Bonda was also a success, with approximately 1,200 people attending the institutional offer of the District Mayor’s Office of Santa Marta. Dadsa supported the event by bringing recreational activities and snacks for the children, in addition to donating trees for the reforestation of the central park. These actions, of great positive impact for the rural community, are reliable proof of the commitment of Carlos Pinedo Cuello’s administration to all the inhabitants of the district.
