The day of commemoration will begin at 10:00 am in the Parque de Los Ninos, and the march will start at 2:00 pm

This Friday, June 28, Bucaramanga will be the scene of the mobilization in commemoration of International LGBTIQ+ Pride Day. The commemoration day will begin at 10:00 am at the Parque de Los Niños with the opening of a business fair that will run until 7:30 pm. This space will feature the participation of more than 70 markets of sexually diverse people from Bucaramanga and its metropolitan area, as well as from other municipalities of Santander.

At 2:00 pm, the traditional pride march will begin. The tour will begin in front of the El Cacique Shopping Center, at the Luis Enrique Figueroa Rey Athletics Stadium. The participants will cross the La Flora Viaduct to reach Carrera 33, they will go down Calle 36, take Carrera 27 and will end at the Children’s Park.

“The invitation is for the entire population of Bucaramanga and Santander. This Friday, June 28, starting at 2:00 pm, we will be in this mobilization that has historically been characterized by being peaceful, colorful, happy and respectful. Additionally, we will have more than 70 markets available with diversification of commerce for the taste of all citizens. We hope to have massive assistance from the city, security and full support will be provided in the march with the responsible institutional entities and as every year, it will be a safe and friendly space for everyone,” said Diana Ximena Carreño Mayorga, psychologist of the Sexual Diversity and LGBTIQ+ Population Program.

At 5:00 pm, a series of pedagogical and cultural activities will begin on stage in the Children’s Parkwhich will last until 8:00 p.m. These activities are designed to promote inclusion and education about sexual and gender diversity, and to celebrate the achievements and visibility of the LGBTIQ+ community in the region.

The 10 convening organizations have called for massive participation, ensuring a safe event full of activities that not only make the LGBTIQ+ community visible, but also promote respect and inclusion in society.
