Alias Calarca He is the commander of the block Jorge Briceno of the dissidents of the Central General Staff of the FARC. The illegal would be responsible for the forced displacement from the peace community of Miravallea former Territorial Space for Training and Reintegration (ETCR) that will have to be abandoned for a recycled war.

The ex-combatants were intimidated in a pamphlet sent by the men of “Calarcá.” The signatories were stigmatized and accused of collaborating with the Second Marquetalia. The EMC’s threat was urgent: they had to leave the space – which they had occupied for the last seven years – because the place would become the scene of the confrontation.

The ex-combatants of this ETCR are an example of the reincorporation process. They had implemented a tourism project called “Caguán expeditions”: rafting on the Pato River in that department. In addition, they had represented Colombia in two world championships of this sport.

“We have found ourselves in the middle of an absurd dispute between the guerrillas of the Central General Staff and the Second Marquetalia to the point of suffocation, suffocating the possibilities of continuing our tourist and sports operations in our area,” the community said when announcing their displacement.

Behind the threats is alias Calarcá, a dissident leader who in theory tries to negotiate peace with the national government and that has been developing an all-out war with the dissidents of the Second Marquetalia in Caquetá.

The EMC dissidents are divided. On one side is the faction of Iván Mordisco, which maintains a total confrontation with the Public Force in departments such as Cauca, Valle and Nariño, and on the other side are those commanded by “Calarcá” who, in practice, are betting on a negotiated solution to the confrontation.

Calarcá took control of the dissidents in Caquetá after the death of alias Gentil Duarte in May 2022. That department has been the scene of disputes between illegal armed groups, not only because of the illicit economies of mining and drug trafficking. Also because It is a place that allows access to navigable rivers that function as a corridor with the Amazon plain. and, in turn, with key departments for illicit routes such as Cauca and Nariño.

It is known that this leader joined the guerrilla group of the extinct Farc when he was 16 years old. He operated in the department of Meta. In 2013, he became the second most important man in the 40th Front. He managed to lay down his weapons and was seen in the rural area of El Tigre. He deserted the peace process and joined Gentil Duarte as a subordinate.

The control of the illicit routes has the men of Calarcá facing the Second Marquetalia –aliased Iván Márquez–.

On May 26, a confrontation took place in San José del Fragua (Caquetá) that left 11 apparent guerrillas of the Second Marquetalia dead. The war was broadcast almost live on videos recorded by the dissidents. Some of the dead were minors: They were captured alive and later shot dead.

The Miravalle community has been denouncing since June 21 that they are in the middle of this confrontation. Only until this Friday, seven days later, did the Government send a delegation to try to prevent the displacement of the community that signed the agreement.
