In the RUD, to date, 7,270 families and 19,087 people affected by the floods in the municipalities of Ayapel, Montelíbano and Tierralta have been reported.

The governor of Córdoba, Erasmo Zuleta Bechara, led the delivery of humanitarian aid for the victims of the winter wave in the municipality of Cereté in the company of Mayor Said Bitar.

The aid, represented in hygiene kits and food, was managed by the Cordoba president before the National Federation of Departments (FND) and benefits those affected by the overflowing of the Caño Bugre.

“We delivered 400 humanitarian aid to families affected by the floods in neighborhoods and rural populations, and we learned first-hand about the problems experienced by the inhabitants of the Oriente and Nuevo Oriente sectors, located next to the Caño Bugre channel,” said the governor during the working day.

The mayor of Cereté thanked Zuleta Bechara for his commitment and support to the nearly 400 affected families in the municipality.

The governor called on all Cordobans to show solidarity with those affected, “we invite Cordobans to join these solidarity actions to support those who suffer today from the floods.”
