In a final played on Friday morning, the Magdalena team won with a resounding score of 12 to 4 over Boyacá, being crowned champion of the National Women’s Beach Soccer Tournament in Barranquilla.

Under the technical direction of Renzo Modera, the Magdalenense players dominated the match from the first minute, showing a superior level of play and great effectiveness in front of the rival goal.

Yulianis Guerrero, Ana Hincapié, Yolanda Villar, Francia García and María Marín were the scorers of the match, standing out with their scores to ensure the team’s victory.

Magdalena achieved the title undefeated, this being the first tournament of its type organized in the country. Throughout the championship, they defeated Valle del Cauca, Guaviare, Atlántico and La Guajira, accumulating 12 points before facing Boyacá.

For its part, Boyacá reached the final with 9 points, after beating Guaviare, La Guajira and Valle del Cauca, but fell in overtime against Atlántico.

This victory not only marks a milestone for the Magdalena team, but also underlines the growth and development of women’s beach soccer in Colombia.

The creation of the Colombian Women’s Beach Soccer Team was recently announced, with the aim of competing in international events such as the women’s South American Championship. In the first call, the players Yulianis Arias and María Pérez were selected, who are part of the F Taganga Project.
