The CPV hosted the Rural Roads Day of Santiago del Estero

Important officials from international, national and provincial entities participated in the event.

The Rural Roads of Santiago del Estero Conference was held in the Assembly Hall of the Provincial Road Council Building. The event was attended by the President of the Provincial Road Council, Eng. José Félix Alfano, the Minister of Public Works, Arq. Aldo Hid, the Secretary of Public Works, Jorge Zuaín, and the Minister of Production, Dr. Miguel Mandrille.

The event was honored by the presence of the President of the Argentine Road Association (AAC) and Vice President of the World Road Association, Eng. Emma Albrieu, the Coordinator of the Rural Roads Commission of the Argentine Road Association and Representative of Argentina in the Technical Commission of the World Road Association, Eng. Bernardino Capra. Also present were the President of the Argentine Transport Federation (FETRA), Pablo Agolanti, the Regional Director of INTA, Tucumán – Santiago del Estero Regional Center, Eng. Luis Erazzú, the Regional Director of INTA, Catamarca – La Rioja Regional Center, Eng. Daniel Moriconi, and the Director of the Santiago del Estero Agricultural Experimental Station, Eng. Mario Mondino.

At the meeting, important agreements were signed between INTA, the Argentine Road Association (AAC) and the Argentine Federation of Transporters (FETRA). Afterwards, Eng. David Alegre from CPV showed the progress of the digitalization of the tertiary road network and for INTA, Mr. Juan Carlos Antuña gave a presentation of cross-references between digitalized maps of the tertiary road network with crop maps and estimates of truck traffic. Finally, Eng. Bernardino Capra spoke about the conservation and maintenance of rural roads in the Province of Buenos Aires.
