During the last few hours, the Metropolitan Police of Cúcuta announced the poster of the most wanted for homicide, theft and other crimes and for whom up to 10 million pesos are offered as a reward.
With this strategy they seek to coordinate work with the community itself to achieve the prompt capture of these people who are allegedly threatening security in the capital of Norte de Santander.
“We have already given instructions to the entire Metropolitan Police to carry out all the distribution, especially in shopping centers, at the airport, the transport terminal, banks and in the areas where there is a greater concentration of people, where the idea is to distribute these 20 thousand flyers, and with the help of all citizens we can locate and capture these criminals” said Colonel William Quintero, commander of the Metropolitan Police of Cúcuta.
According to the same authorities, most of the violent incidents are related to disputes between criminal gangs in different sectors of the city, which is why some of these areas have been targeted, where actions have been taken to reduce this control of crime.
“These people commit crimes mainly in communes 1, 6, 8, 9 and 10 of the city of Cúcuta, where we have had the most criminal problems, and where all these disputes for territorial control by criminal groups have occurred. We are going to continue carrying out actions as we have been doing, 30 raids per week and the idea is to increase them,” said Colonel Quintero.
This cartel is made up of 13 people wanted by the authorities for the crime of homicide:
- Gerson Junior Mogollón Castro
- Brayan José Salcedo Figueroa
- Lesnis José Carrillo Rodríguez
- Lina Marley Gomez Vega
- Jackson Argenis Rengifo Rengifo
- Carlos Alexander Diaz Rojas, alias “Carlos Pecueca”
- Geovanny Alejandro Flórez Sánchez
- Joel Alexander Montilla Urbina, alias “Joel”
- Pedro José Acuña Ballestas, alias “Patelata”
- Yeisy Coromoto Reyes Cordoba, alias “The Black One”
- Stiven Alonso Berbesi Bermudez, alias “Titi”
- Andres Leonardo Santafe
- Juan Guillermo Arias Gil, alias “Memo”
In addition to six people wanted for theft and other crimes:
- Erick Pastor Berríos Rodríguez
- Breyner Fabián Lara Castaño
- Brayan Nicolas Villamizar Herrera
- Peter Jose Romero Cortes
- Yunior Alexander Merchán Bocarejo
- Félix Adrián Estupiñán Rodríguez, alias “Félix”
The authorities also confirmed the capture of Stiven Alonso Berbesí Bermúdez, alias “Titi” who is part of this cartel as he is linked to at least four homicides.
