Within the framework of the Smart City Expo Santiago del Estero 2024, the Secretary of State Modernization, Martin Guemesspoke about the various modernization policies that the Government of the province of Salta has been implementing, highlighting the iddi digital identity tool, advances in connectivity and actions regarding digital inclusion.

The official explained how work is being done to create a Digital Government through different technological tools, such as IDDI, Internet connection in more than 2,300 public establishments, especially in schools, hospitals and health centres, free Wi-Fi in 80 places, and the holding of workshops on programming, cybersecurity and prevention of grooming, cyberbullying and gambling addiction.

Smart City Expo is an internationally renowned event that takes place in different cities around the world, such as Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Qatar, China and the United States. This event brings together experts, institutions and companies to share their initiatives and projects that drive technological and sustainable development.

In this new edition held in Santiago del Estero, under the motto “Territories that innovate, communities that transform”, the opportunity was provided for institutions and companies to share their initiatives and projects. This promotes the technological and sustainable development of the region, allowing the exchange of knowledge and experiences that contribute to improving the quality of life of its inhabitants.
