The initiative aims to reduce the number of judicial seizure sites, which currently house around 30,000 cars that are more than 20 years old.

In the Legislature They presented a draft law that establishes the creation of the Inter-Power Commission for the decontamination and compaction of vehicles seized by public authorities and those in warehouses under the responsibility of the province.

The initiative, promoted by Adriana Najarwas presented within the framework of an inter-institutional meeting in which the lieutenant governor was present Miguel Acevedotogether with the Public Prosecutor’s Minister Edmundo Jimenezthe Secretary of Citizen Participation José Farhat and the Director of Planning and Special Projects of the Ministry of Public Works Alejandro Ferro.

“In this Legislature we always want to listen to all the parties involved in order to produce the best possible legislation,” said Acevedo, praising the wide turnout at the meeting.

Speaking to the press, Najar explained that the objective is to establish an Inter-Power Commission so that the decontamination of judicially seized vehicles is supported by a provincial law that contemplates the possibility of compaction in Tucumán.

What is the project about

“In this way, all entities or intermediary organizations that have a social purpose will benefit, and especially those in the educational field,” he said.

Among the main benefits that the parliamentarian highlights is that the compaction of vehicles will be carried out entirely in our province, and the funds obtained will be used for training courses for young people. Currently, most of the compaction is carried out in Buenos Aires and from there a percentage is sent to Tucumán.

“Once the initiative is approved, we will be able to allocate those funds to training courses or projects aimed at improving the environment and send some auto parts from those vehicles to technical schools so they can study the supports,” said the legislator.

From the Secretariat of Citizen Participation, its owner, Jose Farhat He indicated that from his portfolio, training will be carried out for civil society organizations on citizen culture work, on how to develop projects of positive impact on young people and with the community, which have a connection with what is produced by this project, which They aim to improve the environment.

For his part, the chief commissioner Javier Villafanehead of the judicial department of the Tucumán Police, also expressed his support for the initiative: “Today we have around 30 thousand vehicles that have been stored in our judicial seizure areas for more than 20 years and we are very pleased that work has been done on this project, because it will allow us to adapt to new environmental care.”
