Las Tunas.- In the recent edition of the 2024 Ibero-American Informatics Olympiad, three students from Las Tunas stood out for their excellent performance and demonstrated their talent in the field of Informatics. These brilliant young people managed to position themselves among the best participants in the high-level competition.

Francis José Rodríguez Ronda, Sergio López, and Roger Peña Pérez were the winners, who demonstrated their skills and abilities in the excellent results within this field.

Special congratulations to Francis and Sergio for winning the silver medal! They are the second and third that Las Tunas has obtained in these contests, which shows that their feat is even more meritorious.

They not only demonstrated their talent at the 2024 Ibero-American Computer Science Olympiad, but also represented the Luis Urquiza Jorge pre-university vocational institute of exact sciences with pride and commitment. His dedication and perseverance are an example for other young people who share his passion for IT, inspiring them to follow their dreams and strive to achieve higher and higher goals in this exciting field of knowledge.

From September 1 to 8, 2024, the International Informatics Olympiad (IOI) will be held in person in Egypt. Francis, who is assured of his classification, is preparing to compete and return home with rewards and the honor of being the first student from Las Tunas to participate in an event of this nature.
