Waiting for a sequel that keeps getting delayed
It seems that all cinema ends up arriving sooner or later on large platforms like Netflix. Although it is only partly true, it is true that more modest films end up appearing waiting for the second chance that perhaps they did not have in theaters other than the great blockbusters that did end up succeeding.
Without a doubt the last case applies with Batman, the latest reboot of the Dark Knight character that had great acclaim and commercial success. With Robert Pattinson leading a great cast, and with director Matt Reeves offering his vision to give a new perspective to the character, the film is one of the most powerful new features in the Netflix catalog right now.
Every night Bruce Wayne masquerades as Batman to dive into the depths of Gotham City. In his fight against crime he only has the support of Alfred Pennyworth and the help of Lieutenant James Gordon, within an armored network of police corruption. A new assassin sets his sights on some of Gotham’s citizens, creating a series of sadistic machinations that, through a puzzle-like trail of clues, will lead Batman down a turbulent and ruthless path.

Reeves was clear that the inspirations for the character, which had to have a new look after the great shows of Christopher Nolan or Zack Snyder, had to go outside the action genre.
