We have interesting news for all fans of resident Evilsince a rumor is circulating that the Capcom franchise will return to the movies with a new live-action adaptation.
As you surely remember, the last film in the saga was called Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City It was not very well received by the community and there is still the feeling that something better can be done.
Now, a report from Insider Fandom mentioned that Screen Gemsa studio owned by Sony, is close to finishing a script for a new movie resident Evil. However, it is not known if it will be a sequel to the last live-action or if it will take a different direction.
According to the information shared, Sony wants to use more budget for the new production than it used in Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon Cityso it would be giving more seriousness to the project.
It is worth mentioning that resident Evil has a somewhat rocky history of film adaptations, since in addition to the last one, there are 7 others starring the actress Jovovich mile which were also rejected by a part of the community as a result of their lack of loyalty to the source material.
