At the beginning of May we were finally able to see the first official look at David Corenswet as Superman in the reboot written and directed by James Gunn, which will hit theaters in 2025 to kick off the new era of the DC Universe. An image analyzed down to the smallest detail and debated on networks to which now new photos are added behind the scenes.
The website Cleveland.com has published on Twitter numerous photos from the filming, which would have moved to Cleveland to film several scenes. According to the publication, the scenes were filmed “with rubber debris and smashed cars,” indicating that it is an action sequence with destruction in the city.
In them we see Corenswet as Superman, in a complete look at the suit in motion (in some of the snapshots he appears with a black cape to hide it, but nothing could stop the paparazzi from photographing him in full action). We also see Brosnahan as Lois Lane in a purple blouse and Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific.
The reaction on social networks is mostly positive, praising the fidelity of the designs to DC comics and Gunn’s visionwhich seems to have leaned heavily on vignettes to bring its version of the Man of Steel to the big screen and give fans what they wanted (at least those who have since assumed that the Zack Snyder/Henry Cavill era is over).
On the other hand, the website JustJared.com has also published a handful of photos from the filming (you can see them here), which bring us even closer to the actors, especially Corenswet and Gathegi, to better see the details of their costumes and characterizations. And among those details, one in particular has stood out that has fans of the Metropolis hero completely excited. In addition to the iconic ‘S’ chest on Superman’s suit, Gunn He has also incorporated the emblem of the House of El and symbol of Krypton’s hope in his red cape., thus merging various designs of the character in the comics over time. This second version of the ‘S’ is completely yellow.
