Gru is back and this time he’s in better company than ever before.
The highly anticipated premiere of Despicable Me 4 is just around the corner, because It will be this coming Thursday, July 4, when Gru and his friendly Minions return to the big screen. It was in 2017 the last time we had an installment belonging to the original Despicable Me saga, so it has definitely been a while since the most recent adventure seen in theaters.
Despicable Me 4 will once again feature the English voices of Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig and Miranda Cosgrove, while for the Latin Spanish dubbing we will have Andrés Bustamante and Andrea Legarreta back. So far, Illumination’s new film has been having a somewhat mixed reception with its first reviews being given.
Despicable Me 4 will not only allow us to see the Minions doing their thing again, but also now some of these little yellow characters will be endowed with super powersan aspect that will serve to parody and reference some popular scenes from superhero movies.
The plot of the film will revolve around Gru, who went from being a supervillain to becoming a respected agent of the Anti-Villain League. In the midst of a sea of family adventures, Gru will have to find a way to stop his new nemeses: Maxime Le Mal and his girlfriend Valentina.
However, as all this chaos unfolds, Despicable Me 4 will also introduce us to a new version of Gru never seen before: that of father (or at least biological father). Gru learned how to be a father from the first movie when he adopted Margo, Edith and Agnes, however, It will be until now when we see him interact with his first blood son, once Gru Jr. makes an appearance and turns his parents’ world upside down. Will Gru and Lucy manage to survive this new facet of their lives?
