There is already a showrunner and a director

Thirteen years are a long time for fans of the young Hogwarts wizard, and the void left by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 the saga film series has not been able to cover it fantastic beasts. Francesca Gardiner will be the main creative responsible for developing the series, writing the script and supervising, thanks to her extensive and recognized career in the acclaimed Succession and also in Killing Eve either dark matter; while Mark Mylodresponsible for several episodes of Game of thrones, Shameless and also of Successionand from the second season of The Last of Us which will be released in 2025, will direct some of the episodes, and surely one of them would be the first. In cinema he has also stood out especially with The menuthe original culinary horror film that starred Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Fiennes.

For its part, JK Rowling will also be part of the project as one of the producers of a series that is scheduled to be released most likely throughout 2026and will be presented as an HBO series instead of Max, so at least in the United States, it could arrive sooner on the HBO platform than on the streaming from Max (formerly HBO Max). The intention is that for the next ten years Let’s have more Harry Potter adventures, with all seven books adapted.
