Several emotions were ruled out in Inside Out 2

Although the latest Pixar film and Disney has introduced several new emotions, there were actually more in mind that ended up being discarded in the final cut.

During a recent interview for Comic book, Meg LeFauveone of the film’s screenwriters, addressed some of the ideas and characters that were eliminated during the production of Inside Out 2such as the emotions of Remorse and Guilt.

“We had an idea-fisher named Gail, and we went into the Facts and Opinions factory and watched how they were made. And that was super fun. I think emotionally, we really tried for quite a while to have Remorse in the movie, and Guilt.

Remorse is more self-hatred, that thing that attacks you. And we talked to many experts about it. The difference with Remorse isn’t really a big deal for you because it’s just about attacking yourself, while Guilt is about taking responsibility and it’s a behavior, not who you are.But it never really fit in.

And for this version, Because we really needed to focus on Anxiety, the plot started to branch off too much. But I think we all have that self-hating critic in our head, and we have to go there a little bit with projections and how anxiety can start to do that to you.

“I think it’s in the movie, but that was something we explored and ultimately didn’t feel was fruitful for this version,” the screenwriter explains.

Inside out 2 It is available in movie theaters in Spain from June 19, 2024. Would you have liked to see these new emotions in the film? Tell us in our comments section.
