This famous artist will be the first Venezuelan Spiderman in the next Sony movie about the Spiderverse

All fans of the Marvel universe are waiting for the new animated movie Spider-Man: Across the Multiverse. However, for Venezuelans, it will be a special film, since the artist Óscar Olivares will participate as one of the voice actors.

The artist reported on his social networks and expressed his emotion, since Sony chose him to be one of the Spider-Man. In this sense, he clarified that he will do the dubbing in Spanish not only for Venezuela, but for the entire region.

“Sony Pictures has chosen me to play one of the versions of Spider-Man in the upcoming Spider-Man Through the Spider-Verse movie. I will dub the first Spider-Man in Spanish for all of Latin America with a Venezuelan accent,” said Olivares.

“I can’t fit the emotion,” said Olivares, who posted a photo in the costume of the spider character. “This movie will have many versions of Spider-Man, and I’ll be playing one of them”, he added.

OLIVARES: “SPIDER-MAN EATS AREPA”

Olivares recalled one of his most popular drawings, in which Spider-Man is seen with an arepa. He also pointed out that since childhood he was a fan of this character and now he will be able to bend it on the big screen.

“We can say that that Spider-Man who eats arepa will be real. Imagine telling the 6-year-old boy who only drew Spider-Man that in 20 years he will be a version of the character, no matter how crazy our dreams are, they can be achieved,” Olivares said.

The artist recalled that the premiere of this new Spider-Man movie will be the June 1 throughout Latin America. “Thanks to Sony and Blancica for this great opportunity”, concluded Olivares.

This animated film is the sequel to Spider-Man: A New Universewhich hit theaters in 2018. After several years of production and the delay due to the coronavirus pandemic, it will be released in a few weeks.

Olivares began his career as a cartoonist in 2011 and is recognized for make murals with tapas in different parts of the country. His work was exhibited in important cities such as Miami, Houston, London, Bogotá, Kuala Lumpur and Santo Domingo.
