The guitarist Mick Mars has repeatedly shown that he is not willing to throw in the towel when it comes to his fight against the degenerative disease ankylosing spondylitis, even though it ended up removing him from his position in Motley Crue. Recently, he told us that The worst part of his condition was the difficulty in keeping his head upright.but he equally refuses to believe that he will end up stuck in a wheelchair.

This is what he confessed in an interview with Jacqui Neal the 72-year-old guitarist, who began suffering sharp pains in his tailbone at 14 before they later spread throughout his body.

These were his words: “With what I have, ankylosing spondylitis, the doctor told me I would be in a wheelchair by 25 or something, and I said, “No, I won’t be.” How do doctors make money? Keeping you sick, telling you this or doing that. And it’s not to be mean to doctors, because they help too, but they don’t make money without patients. So that’s how I feel about it”.

Mars He recalled other examples in the fight against degenerative diseases: “I mean that there are people who are very bad, physically weakened. For example, Stephen Hawking (English theoretical physicist, cosmologist and writer), who suffered from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), known in the US as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and other similar people. Ankylosing spondylitis is something to fight against, for sure”.

The album ‘The Other Side of Mars’ saw the light at the end of last February, continuing the career of a Mick Mars who had to leave his position in Mötley Crüe in the hands of John 5. With their current formation, those of Nikki Sixx they have their new songs ready for an imminent launch.
