The Argentine Chamber of Phonogram and Videogram Producers (CAPIF) announced the complete list of nominations to the 26th edition of the Gardel Awards whose ceremony will take place next Tuesday May 28 at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires, with Star+ and Star Channel broadcasting.
Continuing with a trend that was consolidated in recent editions, urban and pop artists are the ones who obtained the greatest number of nominations in different categories: Milo J, Emilia, Bizarrap, Nicki Nicole, María Becerra, Big One, Tini, Duki and Evlay, among others. As usual, the gala will feature shows of various genres, artists and collaborations.
In the most important shortlist of the awards, that of Album of the Year, artists from different genres will compete, including Miranda! with Hotel Miranda!; the aforementioned Emilia with .mp3; Lali with his self-titled album; David Lebon with your work Lebon Heritage; the iconic Fito Paez with its reversal Eadda9223 and young Milo J with 111.
Already in Song of the Year, the only category voted by the public through social networks, 10 artists compete: Thunder (“Tranky funky”), Emilia & Tini (“The Original.mp3”), Nicki Nicole & Milo J (“Shoot***”), Maria Becerra (“Empty Heart”) and He Killed a Motor Police Officer (“Gold medal”).
They accompany them Luck Ra & BM (“The brunette”), Bizarrap & Shakira (“Shakira: Bzrp music sessions, vol. 53”), Lali (“Obsession”), Lit Killah, Duki, Emilia, Tiago PZK, FMK, Rusherking, María Becerra & Big One (“Those from Space”) and Evlay, Wos & Santiago Motorizado (“Invested”).
