Ozzy Osbourne reveals who is the best guitarist of his career

Ozzy Osbourne is clear about who has been the best guitarist he has played with throughout his long and fruitful career.

Ozzy Osbourne has named his partner Black Sabbath, Tony Iommi, as the best guitarist he has ever played with. During a preview of his new podcast The Madhouse ChroniclesOsbourne expressed to his friend, the guitarist and podcast co-host, Billy Morrisonthat Iommi “was and is the best fucking guitarist I’ve ever played with.”

An inimitable style

Morrison commented that the mark of a “truly iconic artist” is that others can play the same notes, but cannot fully replicate the sound. Osbourne added: “I’ve played ‘Paranoid,’ ‘Children of the Grave,’ and ‘War Pigs.’ Other guitarists play the notes, but it’s not the same. I find that a lot of American guitarists play too fast. “Tony Iommi, for some reason, is fucking great.”

Ozzy’s favorite solo guitarist

In late 2019, Osbourne stated that Randy Rhoads He was the “best” guitarist he has played with throughout his solo career. «If he had to say which of the guitarists he would prefer to work with, who was the most musically trained, it was Randy, because he could write, read and play. “He taught at his mother’s school and was patient with me,” Osbourne continued. «And he worked with me, instead of having to work on top of what he proposed. It was fun!”

The collaboration of Ozzy and Morrison

Morrison, who joined the band Billy Idol In 2010, he recently released his new solo album, The Morrison Project. The album features the vocal collaboration of Osbourne on the single “Crack Cocaine.” The two are taking their creative chemistry to the podcasting studio with The Madhouse Chroniclesa wide-ranging conversation covering many topics, including music and the history of Black Sabbathbut also other areas of interest, such as extraterrestrials.

In an interview with Loudwire On the podcast, Osbourne expressed his fascination with aliens: “I’m really intrigued. And I’m thinking, well, there are so many sightings of these things — UFOs and whatever, UAPs… But I’m convinced that if they’re here, they live in the ocean.
