Singer Madonna has responded to a class action lawsuit filed against her that accuses her of starting her concerts late with the argument that “her true fans know that she always goes on stage later than the scheduled time,” according to TMZ magazine.

The “Like a Virgin” singer is immersed in her international tour “The Celebration Tour” and was sued for starting several of her New York concerts later than the officially announced time.

The lawsuit was filed by Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden, who launched a legal battle last December against the queen of pop, Live Nation as organizer of the tour and the Barclays Center as the venue for the concert by “intolerable, unfair and/or deceptive commercial practices.”

Both alleged that both the concert brochure and the promotion for the tour’s three December concerts in New York specified that The show was supposed to start at 8:30 p.m. local time, but started after 10:40 p.m.

The singer is now taking action against that lawsuit and, according to documents obtained by TMZ, Madonna argues that his “followers understand how his concerts work… that is, he is late, and the time printed on the concert tickets is NOT an indication of when he will actually take the stage,” the publication relates.

The international tour with which Madonna celebrates her 40 years of career began in October 2023 in London and will end on April 26 in Mexico City.
