As Mnet’s girl group survival show “I-LAND 2: N/a” enters its second part, a new narrator has been announced!
Unlike the first season of Mnet survival show “I-LAND,” which was produced in collaboration with HYBE and spawned boy group ENHYPEN in 2020, the second season is a collaboration with veteran YG Entertainment producer Teddy and his agency THEBLACKLABEL. BIGBANG’s Taeyang, dancers Monica and Lee Jung as well as producer 24 and VVN are participating as producers and acting directors for “I-LAND2.”
On the June 6 broadcast, “I-LAND 2” concluded its part 1 with the survival announcement ceremony, revealing the 12 contestants moving on to part 2.
On June 7, Mnet announced that ZEROBASEONE’s Sung Han Bin will take on the role of storyteller in the second part, succeeding Song Kang, who played the role in the first part.
For part 2, the program name will change from “N/a” to “FINAL COUNTDOWN”. Starting from the next broadcast, the program will also reveal the final number of members who will debut in the new girl group.
Sung Han Bin, who debuted on the Mnet boy group survival show “Boys Planet” in 2023, is expected to be a role model and support for the contestants, bridging the gap between the contestants and the audience.
“I-LAND 2: FINAL COUNTDOWN” will begin airing on June 13 at 9:30 pm KST.
