EXO’s (EXO-CBX) Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin will hold a press conference on SM Entertainment.
On June 10, EXO’s Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin announced that their agency INB100 will hold a press conference today at 4 pm KST to address alleged unfair treatment by SM Entertainment. p_Arc Group Chairman Cha Ga Won, INB100 CEO Kim Dong Joon, and lawyer Lee Jae Hak will be present at the press conference.
A representative from INB100 stated, “Last year in June, EXO-CBX and SM Entertainment released a joint statement. announcing that they amicably resolved the legal dispute over the termination of exclusive contracts and presented a complaint with the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC). At that time, the situation was resolved through negotiations because both parties believed that it was more important than anything else for EXO to continue their activities normally. According to the agreement at that time, INB100 was established [para gestionar] the individual activities of the artists, as well as the activities under EXO-CBX.”
INB100 continued: “SM Entertainment ignored the negotiated terms that were the premise of the agreement and demands from INB100 10 percent of the income from the artists’ individual activities. “INB100 submitted a content certification regarding improper treatment, but SM Entertainment still has not responded for more than two months.”
