The GHOST movie “Rite Here Rite Now” has arrived on the big screen (check the list of cinemas that show it in Spain). The group has surprise released a new single titled “The Future Is A Foreign Land“, song that is part of the soundtrack of the film.
This track, according to GHOST, is a “newly discovered track from the It was 1969“. The song was composed by the Papa Nihilwho also “wrote” other GHOST cuts like “Mary On A Cross” and “Kiss The Go-Goat”, but until now had remained unreleased.

Tobias Forge tells NME about the lyrical theme of “The Future Is A Foreign Land”:
“The message is that there is a big lesson lost if you look at what’s happening in the world now and what’s gotten us here… If you’re lucky enough to experience this movie in the theater, you’re pretty good. You’re one of the lucky ones and you should enjoy life, embrace it and do everything in your power to improve your life and the lives of everyone you know. But remember what it has cost humanity to get here over the last 55 years and the shit we have put each other through fighting for what we believe is a better world. intends to make you feeling grateful in some way for being able to laugh at certain things and be at a fictional rock concert in this world.”
The film’s soundtrack will be published through Loma Vista Recordings on July 26.
The movie “Rite Here Rite Now”
“Rite Here Rite Now” is composed of material filmed in two concerts that the group performed in the KIA Forum of Inglewood, CaliforniaUSA, in September 2023. At these events the use of phones or smart watches was not allowed in the performance space.
The film combines previously unseen images of these events with a narrative history which takes up the plot threads of the series of chapters that GHOST has been filming throughout its career.
“Rite Here Rite Now” was directed by Tobias Forgeleader of GHOSTand Alex Ross Perryalso a member of the band.
Tobias Forge (Papa Emeritus) confirmed a few months ago that it is “a film with a concert elementso a lot of what you experienced live is going to be part of this project.” Forge further stated that it was too early for GHOST to make a biopic.
