THE COLOMBIAN learned about the chats that will be delivered by Sneyder Pinilla to the Prosecutor’s Office after the first meeting in which he was guaranteed a security scheme. The chats are between the president of the Chamber, Andrés Calle, and the former deputy director of the entity. There, a meeting is agreed upon at Calle’s apartment in Montería by order of Olmedo López. At the meeting, the billion pesos of the UNGRD tank truck contracts for La Guajira were delivered, in which there were numerous obvious cost overruns. This is the first evidence that Pinilla reveals in his search for his opportunity.
In the chats, Pinilla tells Calle that their meeting place must be reserved. “Something reserved please,” to which Calle responds “pay attention to yourself, what time are you arriving?” Then, the conversation is an exchange of messages to organize the meeting until finally Calle ends up sending him the address of her house in Montería in the K62 building in that city. Calle is a political heir from Córdoba where his family is part of the traditional houses. His brother, Gabriel Calle, was a candidate for Governor in the October elections but lost to Erasmo Zuleta. This information is important because it has been said that the UNGRD bribe money was destined for local campaigns. The representative has been the closest person to the president in the House, to the point that he accompanied him on the president’s international trips and has been present at several government events.
He was one of the first congressmen who decided to dissident former President César Gaviria against the reforms that Petro processed in Congress and his decisions in the plenary sessions have benefited the Government’s times. In fact, under his Presidency in the Chamber, the pension reform would have to be processed if it passes the third debate in the Seventh Commission of that corporation.
Sneyder Pinilla seeks to consolidate a principle of opportunity by providing evidence of his accusations that so far indicate that he would have delivered 4,000 million pesos to the president of the Senate Iván Name, through the former regional councilor Sandra Ortiz, who left her position due to the scandal , and 1,000 million pesos directly to Calle.
