After beating Guatemala 4-1, Lionel Scaloni gave the list of the 26 players who will represent the Argentine national team in the Copa America 2024 which will be held from June 20 to July 14 in the United States. Of the 29 footballers who had started training, the coach left out Valentín Barco, Leonardo Balerdi and Ángel Correa. The one who got involved at the last minute is Valentín Carboni.

“We will make the list based on what we believe is best for the National Team. It always hurts to leave kids outside.but we will do it thinking about what the team needs,” the coach had said after the victory in the friendly against Ecuador.
Argentina will seek to defend the title it won in Brazil 2021. Its path in the Group A It will begin against Canada on Thursday, June 20 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, at 9 p.m., and will continue against Chile on Tuesday, June 25 at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, at 10 p.m. The first phase will close with the duel against Peru, on Saturday, June 29 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, at 9 p.m.
In the run-up to the tournament, the National Team played two friendlies: In the first they won 1-0 against Ecuador and in the second beat Guatemala 4-1in a magical night of Messi and Lautaro Martínez.
