Yesterday, Tuesday, the commotion took over the dozens of people who, despite the leadenness of the day, occupied the Rodiles beach, in Villaviciosa. For reasons that are still unknown, a man died as soon as he got out of the water, collapsing on the sand. And despite the rapid response of the emergency services, who spent an hour performing advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers, it was not possible to save his life.
The Emergency Coordination Center of 112 Asturias received the notice at 7:15 p.m. The call indicated that a person had just collapsed on the sandy beach after getting out of the water. The first attention was provided by the rescue personnel, already out of work hours, but still present on the sandy beach. In addition, paramedics aboard an ambulance, as well as the Asturias Fire Rescue Group with the helicopter of the Emergency Service of the Principality of Asturias, were sent to the scene, but they could only confirm his death.
