This week the early electoral campaign began for the Elections in France.
After the unfavorable results of the match Emmanuel Macron in the European elections of June 9 against the extreme right of Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardellathe president dissolved the National Assembly in an attempt to contain the advance of the right.
The Minister of Economy, Bruno Le Maire, warned that a victory of the right or the left in the early elections could provoke a financial crisis in the country.
The government of Emmanuel Macronthreatened by the possibility of a defeat in the elections legislative elections called in advance, intensified its campaign, presenting 24 of its members as candidates.
Elections in France: who are the candidates
Among the candidates, several prominent members of the Executive are seeking a seat in the next National Assembly.
Among them are the prime minister, Gabriel Attal; the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Stéphane Séjourné; the Minister of Agriculture, Marc Fesneau; the Minister of Health, Frédéric Valletoux; and the Minister of Tourism and Consumer Affairs, Olivia Grégoire.
This large number of government officials on the lists highlights the intention to reverse the polls ahead of the elections scheduled for June 30 and July 7.
Polls predict a victory for the extreme right of the National Group (RN)followed by the new Popular Front, which brings together left-wing partieswith between 25% and 28%, while finally the Macronist bloc would be left with less than 20%.
When are the Elections in France
The legislative elections in France will take place in two stages: the first round on Sunday, June 30 and the second on the following Sunday, July 7.
President Emmanuel Macron announced the call for early elections the same day as the European elections.
